Bassist with Tedeschi Trucks Band
Tim Lefebvre is a veteran of both the LA and New York music scenes on both electric and upright bass. His prolific body of work includes performances and recordings across a wide spectrum including working with legendary Steely Dan sessions player Wayne Krantz, Bill Evans, Chuck Loeb, Sting, Toto, Jamie Cullum, Chris Botti, movie soundtracks like Analyze That, Oceans 12, and The Departed, television work like The Sopranos and 30 Rock. He has also spent time subbing on Late Night with David Letterman, and Saturday Night LIve.
Tim now resides in Los Angeles and continues to spend a lot of time recording in the studio on many projects, and in 2013 Tim joined the Tedeschi Trucks Band and has been touring with them full-time since.
After Tim began performing with the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Derek Trucks said ‘It just felt right. Two or three shows into it, we were playing some of the best shows we’d ever played.”
Tim’s most recent project was as bassist on David Bowie’s final album, Blackstar. Tim discusses the sessions in this article by Premier Guitar magazine.
